Daedongmobility was established in 1977 under the name HANKUK CHAIN with the goal of localizing power transmission chains that had previously relied solely on imports. Since its establishment, it has solidified its position as a chain specialist manufacturer with the accumulated technology and expertise developed over the years. Daedongmobility has been producing a wide range of high-quality products, including multipurpose utility vehicles (UTV), sub-compact tractors, zero-turn mowers, golf carts, and rotavators. Furthermore, Daedongmobility's products are supplied to the top domestic companies in industries such as automobiles, steel, heavy machinery, and agricultural equipment, and are exported to countries worldwide, including the U.S., Japan, Europe, and Australia.

Now, Daedongmobility is expanding into a cutting-edge e-mobility company by building on the technology and know-how accumulated over 40 years of creating essential parts and platforms for mobility, transportation, work, and recreation. By incorporating advanced technologies such as autonomous driving and transitioning to electric-based platforms, the company changed its name from HANKUK CHAIN to Daedongmobility in 2021. In November 2022, it completed the construction of its second factory (mobility manufacturing) on a 30,000 pyeong site in the Daegu National Industrial Complex, marking the beginning of its full-scale transition into an e-mobility company.
